Overview And Experience
Carol DeCesare brings more than two decades of experience to her role as a paralegal, with a strong foundation in family law and a deep understanding of the legal process. Born in Spain and raised in Norfolk, Virginia from the age of eight, Carol is a graduate of Granby High School and has proudly called Virginia Beach home since 2002.
Carol began her legal career in 1997 after graduating from Commonwealth College and has since built over 24 years of experience as a paralegal, including more than 15 years dedicated specifically to family law. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside prominent family law attorneys in the Virginia Beach area, gaining extensive experience in handling a wide range of legal matters. Her work includes drafting correspondence to counsel, clients, and the courts, as well as preparing complex discovery responses, separation agreements, final decrees, and other pleadings.
Her passion for the legal field began in 1995 while working for a sole practitioner during a summer position following high school. That experience shaped her career path and led her to pursue formal education and long-term work in the legal profession.
Carol joined Pincus Goodman, P.C. in October 2025 as the paralegal to Ms. Goodman. She is known for her dedication, compassion, and ability to navigate sensitive matters with both care and strength. Clients and colleagues alike rely on her for her knowledge of court procedures and her ability to provide clear, practical guidance throughout the legal process.
Outside of the office, Carol is a devoted mother to her four children, ages 26, 21, 10, and 7, whom she loves deeply. She is also an avid animal lover and shares her home with an Australian Shepherd named Eeevee, a Maine Coon named Cappuccino, a grey tabby named Cleo, a Turkish Angora named Coco, and a turtle named Cupcake.
In her free time, Carol enjoys spending time with her children and pets, reading, gardening, listening to music, dancing, and unwinding with her favorite television shows. She also values spending time with her best friends.
