Charles L. Pincus, III is a seasoned Virginia attorney known for his strong advocacy, strategic thinking, and results-driven approach to client representation. With decades of experience, Charlie has built a reputation as both a skilled negotiator and a formidable litigator, offering clients thoughtful guidance through complex legal matters.

Charlie began his professional career in the corporate sector, working in the card services division at Bank of America before pursuing his longstanding goal of becoming an attorney. He earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar that same year.

Following law school, Charlie gained valuable experience as a consultant in the tax services division at PricewaterhouseCoopers (now affiliated with KPMG), before transitioning into private practice. In 1998, he joined the real estate firm of Hoffman & Flynn, where he developed a diverse legal foundation in real estate, civil litigation, and criminal defense.

In 2003, Charlie established his own firm, where he focused his practice on family law, criminal law, and civil litigation, representing clients throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Building on that foundation, he partnered with Adrienne Goodman in 2016 to form Pincus Goodman, P.C., a firm committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services in Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas.

Charlie’s approach to the practice of law is both practical and client-centered. He prioritizes resolving matters efficiently through negotiation whenever possible, but is equally prepared to advocate aggressively in the courtroom when necessary. Known for his direct communication style, Charlie takes the time to understand each client’s situation and provides clear, strategic guidance tailored to their goals.

Outside of his legal practice, Charlie remains actively involved in the local community. He has sponsored numerous charitable events, spent many years coaching youth basketball, and regularly serves as a judge for the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School. Deeply connected to the Virginia Beach community, he takes pride in both his roots and his continued commitment to serving the area.

Charlie is a proud father of two sons, both graduates of Virginia Tech. He and his wife enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active, and supporting the pursuits and milestones of their children.
